Why I Create Jewelry

One of the things I value most when creating jewelry is capturing the beautiful moments I find in everyday life and turning them into something you can wear.

For example, the Branch Ear Cuff was inspired by the branches of cherry blossom trees in winter.

Around this time last year, I was out walking and noticed the tightly closed, bare branches of a cherry tree. Looking at them, I thought about how quietly they were preparing to bloom beautifully in spring.

That moment became the inspiration for this piece.

At a time when so many people were living with restrictions and uncertainty, I wanted to create something for those who were still moving forward toward their dreams and hopes.

I made this piece with the wish that it could become a small talisman—something that gently says:

“It’s going to be okay. Your time to bloom will come.”

Through jewelry and personal style, I hope I can bring even a little encouragement and joy to those doing their best every day.
